Public Sector Boost: CMB to Build Two-Storey Office Complex for Apapa Council

CMB Building Maintenance & Investment Company Limited has described its latest deal with the Apapa Local Government Area of Lagos State as a landmark milestone in its expansion into public-sector infrastructure delivery.

Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Mr Kele Mbagwu, stated this while reacting to the official confirmation of the construction agreement recently issued by the council.

He said the partnership reflects growing public confidence in CMB’s capacity to deliver quality projects and urged other state and local governments to adopt similar transparent procurement processes.

Under the agreement, CMB Building & Maintenance Company will construct a two-storey office complex that will house the council’s Legislative Chamber as well as offices for federal and state parastatals operating within Apapa

The development is expected to significantly improve administrative efficiency and provide modern workspaces for government operations across the LGA.

The deal was confirmed through a notification signed by the Council Manager, Mrs Sonate Adebanji, on behalf of the Executive Chairman. The letter stated that CMB emerged as the preferred contractor after meeting all requirements under the National Shopping procurement process.

According to the terms, the company is expected to complete the project within six months, working closely with the council’s Works & Infrastructure Department for technical oversight. CMB will also interface with the council’s Legal Officer to finalise contractual documentation before mobilisation.

The council further directed the company to submit a formal letter of acceptance within one week, marking the beginning of project execution.

Mbagwu described the partnership as a significant collaboration, noting that it reinforces CMB’s growing footprint in public infrastructure development across Lagos State.
