The unfolding political crisis in Venezuela has renewed attention on the 2026 prophecies released by Primate Elijah Ayodele of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, following claims that Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro was captured during a large-scale United States operation.
On Saturday, December 20, 2025, Primate Ayodele unveiled his annual prophecy publication titled Warnings to the Nations, a 146-page booklet outlining predictions and cautions for countries, presidents, political leaders, and institutions ahead of 2026.
Since its release, supporters of the cleric have pointed to several prophecies they say are already materialising, even before the new year fully began.
One of the prophecies drawing particular interest concerns Venezuela. In the prophecy book, Primate Ayodele warned of severe tension, insecurity, and political instability in the South American nation, specifically cautioning that the president would face overwhelming challenges and threats to his hold on power.
The renewed focus followed an announcement by US President Donald Trump, who claimed on Truth Social that American forces had successfully carried out a large-scale strike against Venezuela, resulting in the capture of President Maduro and his wife.
Trump stated that the operation was conducted in conjunction with US law enforcement agencies and that further details would be provided later.
In the section on Venezuela, found on page 80 of the prophecy book, Primate Ayodele warned that the country would experience serious crises marked by attacks, shootings, and mass unrest.
He further cautioned that there would be a coordinated move against the president and advised him to take strategic steps to avoid sudden removal from power.
According to the prophecy, Venezuela would also face heightened security threats capable of destabilising the nation if not properly managed.
The cleric additionally warned of explosions and widespread unrest, which he said would plunge the country into deep turmoil.
In recent weeks, reports of explosions and escalating insecurity in Venezuela allegedly forced the government to declare a state of emergency.
The situation later culminated in Trump’s announcement of Maduro’s capture, an event many followers of Primate Ayodele now cite as a significant fulfilment of his 2026 warnings.
