Marketing's AI Revolution: BJAN Forum to Tackle Opportunities and Challenges

The Brand Journalists Association of Nigeria (BJAN) is set to host its annual conference on November 28th, focusing on the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in marketing.

The event, titled “AI and Marketing Workflow: Opportunities and Challenges,” will take place at the Oriental Hotel in Victoria Island, Lagos, and aims to bridge the gap between industry stakeholders and the rapidly evolving digital landscape.

According to BJAN Chairman, Daniel Obi, the forum will bring together professionals from the integrated marketing communications (IMC) sector to discuss how AI is reshaping business operations.

“AI is no longer a futuristic concept; it is a present reality,” Obi stated, emphasising the need for industry players to stay ahead of the curve.

The conference will feature prominent speakers, including Cherry Eromosele, Executive Vice President of Group Marketing & Corporate Communications at Interswitch Group, and Folajimi Daodu, CEO of Vault Hills.

A key session will see Lekan Fadolapo, Director-General of the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON), address “AI and Advertising Regulation in the Digital Age: Challenges and Opportunities.”

The event will be chaired by Udeme Ufot, Group Chief Executive Officer of SO&U, and will include a panel of experts to dissect the core issues surrounding AI.

Obi highlighted that the conference is not just an option but a necessity for business leaders, academics, and journalists to gain practical insights, build capacity, and address the ethical considerations of AI.

The forum will also provide a crucial networking opportunity, allowing attendees to engage with peers and key industry figures.
