Rivers Assembly Issues Misconduct Notice Against Governor, Deputy

The Rivers State House of Assembly has issued a formal notice accusing Governor Siminalayi Fubara and his deputy, Ngozi Odu, of misconduct. 

According to a statement made available to the media, the lawmakers cited the Nigerian Constitution, specifically Section 188, to support their actions. 

The notice, signed by members of the Assembly, highlights alleged gross misconduct by the deputy governor in the performance of her duties. 

This move comes amid growing concerns over the leadership of the state's executive branch. 

The Assembly’s action adheres to the constitutional provisions on misconduct by state officials.
