Tinubu Lauds Dangote Group’s Role in Nigeria’s Industrialization at Kaduna Trade Fair

The Federal Government has commended the Dangote Group for its contributions to Nigeria’s industrialization, as the conglomerate takes center stage at the ongoing 46th Kaduna International Trade Fair.

Speaking at the event, Dr Dafang I. Sule, Acting Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Investment, who represented President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr Jumoke Oduwole, praised the company for its significant role in national development.

“The quality of Dangote products is not in doubt, and that is why people patronize them. You can see that the company is growing every day. I think it is doing an impressive job,” Dr Sule stated.

The Dangote Group, a key sponsor of the trade fair, has been instrumental in government policies and programs, particularly the Backward Integration Programme, aimed at reducing reliance on imports and strengthening local industries.

In a related development, the Kaduna Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture (KADCCIMA) highlighted its collaboration with the Dangote Group as a major advantage of this year’s trade fair.

Speaking to journalists, Alhaji Usman Saulawa, Director General of KADCCIMA, described the company as a driving force in Nigeria’s economic growth, with a strong presence in Kaduna State and beyond.

“The company has made a significant positive impact not only on Kaduna’s business community but also on the Nigerian and global economy,” Saulawa noted.

The 46th Kaduna International Trade Fair, themed “Promoting Efficiency in Manufacturing, Trade, and Agriculture through Digital Transformation,” attracted participants from at least five countries.

According to Saulawa, the fair’s success is largely attributed to the collaboration between the Kaduna State Government, Dangote Group, and other key players in the private sector.

He further praised Aliko Dangote, the Group’s President, for his unwavering support of the chamber and economic development initiatives in Kaduna.

Through its Strategic Business Units, the Dangote Group continued to play a vital role in advancing Nigeria’s trade, manufacturing, and agricultural sectors.
