The Society of Digital Newspaper Owners of Nigeria (SDNON) recently held a vibrant end-of-year event to honour its outgoing Executive Council Members, who served from 2022 to 2024 under the leadership of Otunba Femi Davies.
At the gathering, the newly elected SDNON President, Adeniyi Ifetayo, commended the outgoing administration for laying a solid foundation for the organization’s growth.
He pledged to build on their achievements with innovative initiatives aimed at enhancing member welfare and professional development.
"We are positioned to make a significant impact on the society, particularly in areas of welfare and capacity building.
"Our vision encompasses ensuring all-round growth for our members while maintaining the high standards set by the previous administration,” Ifetayo affirmed.
Vice President Gbenga Shaba echoed Ifetayo’s sentiments, emphasizing the critical role of strategic partnerships in achieving SDNON’s objectives.
“Our focus will be on fostering meaningful collaborations that will benefit all our members and strengthen our position in Nigeria's digital media landscape,” Shaba remarked.
Looking ahead, the Secretary, Seunmanuel Faleye, announced plans to release a detailed calendar and itinerary for 2025 in early January, underscoring the new administration's commitment to transparent and structured leadership.
Public Relations Officer, Kanyinulia Okeke, argued that the event celebrated both past achievements and the organization’s strategic direction under its new leadership.
