Finnish authorities have frozen the assets of Simon Ekpa, a controversial pro-Biafra activist, and others linked to alleged terrorism, according to reports from Finnish media outlet Yle.
The freeze extends to companies associated with Ekpa and his co-suspects.
Ekpa, who is currently detained at Kylmäkoski Prison in Finland, was arrested on November 21, alongside four other individuals.
They are accused of terrorism-related activities, including spreading extremist propaganda on social media.
The Päijät-Häme District Court subsequently remanded Ekpa to custody, ruling his charges as non-bailable. His trial is scheduled to begin in May 2025.
