A drone launched from Lebanon targeted Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s residence in Caesarea on Saturday, as reported by his office.
Netanyahu and his wife were not present at the location during the incident, and no injuries were reported.
The Israeli military earlier noted that the drone “hit a structure” in the central town, though it was unclear if this was directly related to the prime minister's residence.
The military confirmed that three drones had been launched from Lebanon on Saturday, with two intercepted.
The incident occurred amid heightened hostilities between Israel and Hezbollah, a Hamas ally in Lebanon.
Saturday saw multiple projectiles fired from Lebanon into northern Israel, triggering air raid sirens across the region.
In Lebanon, two people were reportedly killed in an Israeli airstrike in Jounieh, north of Beirut.
This marks the first strike in the area since the conflict between Hezbollah and Israel resumed last year.
Lebanese authorities reported that the airstrike targeted a car on a key highway linking Jounieh to northern Lebanon.
The escalating conflict includes ground troop deployments by Israel into Lebanon last month, as well as targeted airstrikes.
On Friday, the Israeli military announced the destruction of a Hezbollah regional command centre through an airstrike.
In response, Hezbollah launched a barrage of rockets towards the Israeli city of Haifa and nearby areas and later claimed responsibility for deploying “a swarm of explosives-laden drones” targeting an Israeli missile defence base near Hadera.
