Naira Abuse: Bobrisky regains freedom after six months in jail

Controversial Nigerian transgender Idris Okuneye, also known as Bobrisky, has regained his freedom.

He was set free after spending six months in prison.

It would be recalled that the self-acclaimed ‘Mummy of Lagos’ was in April 2024 sentenced to a six-month jail term by Justice Abimbola Awogboro of the Federal High Court, Ikoyi, Lagos over Naira abuse.

Justice Awogboro who sentenced Bobrisky without an option of fine, declared that his sentence would serve as a lesson for others abusing the Naira notes.
