In A Ceremonial Vote, Jinping, Gets Third Term As China's President

Today, the President of China, Xi Jinping, secured an unprecedented third term as president during a parliamentary session.

No fewer than 3,000 members of China’s rubber-stamp parliament, the National People’s Congress (NPC), voted unanimously in the Great Hall of the People.

Reuters reports that the 69-year-old leader of the most populated country emerged in a ceremonial vote without any other candidate challenging him.
