Rape: Manchester City defender, Mendy spent 134 days before release

After spending 134 days in custody, Manchester City defender, Benjamin Mendy has been released on bail from prison ahead of his trial on rape charges.

It would be recalled that Mendy who was granted bail by the court had been slammed on eight counts bordering on rape against five different women.

The defender was on August 26, 2022, arrested and has been held in custody since then. But after 134 days in custody, Mendy was granted bail by Judge Patrick Thompson at a private hearing on Friday.
