The Pan-African conglomerate, Dangote Industries Limited (DIL), is once again set to make a strong impression at the 2025 Lagos International Trade Fair, showcasing a range of innovative products and market-expanding initiatives across its subsidiaries.
The trade fair, which begins on Friday, November 7, 2025, at the Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Onikan, Lagos, will feature the group’s major business arms including Dangote Sugar Refinery, Dangote Petroleum Refinery, Dangote Packaging, NASCON Allied Industries Plc (makers of Dangote Salt and Seasoning), Dangote Sinotruk Company, Dangote Fertiliser, Dangote Cement, and Gata Rice.
According to a statement from Anthony Chiejina, Group Chief Branding and Communications Officer of Dangote Industries Limited, this year’s fair presents a unique opportunity for consumers, distributors, and retailers to interact directly with the company and its wide portfolio of quality products.
He noted that visitors to the Dangote pavilion would enjoy discounted prices on various Dangote products and could also register as distributors or retailers, gaining access to lucrative business opportunities.
“This year marks 25 years of Dangote Sugar Refinery’s existence, and we are commemorating it with a major overhaul of our Apapa Refinery to further strengthen our capacity to meet customer needs and maintain our reputation as Nigeria’s leading sugar refiner,” Chiejina stated.
Adding colour and innovation to this year’s exhibition, Dangote Sugar Refinery will officially unveil two new sugar packs sizes — 100g sachets and 25 kg bags, during the much-anticipated ‘Dangote Day’ at the fair on Wednesday, November 12.
The new packs are designed to address changing market dynamics, especially the current economic realities facing consumers and end-users.
The 100g pack targets affordability for low-income households, while the 25 kg pack caters to bakeries, restaurants, and industrial users who require bulk quantities.
Speaking about the innovation, Rilwan Yusuf, Head of Marketing Operations (Sales) at Dangote Sugar Refinery, explained that the company introduced the new packs to enhance accessibility, stimulate market penetration, and strengthen the brand’s leadership in the sugar industry.
“The new 100g and 25 kg packs are strategic responses to consumer needs. The 100g sachet makes our brand more affordable to low-income earners, while the 25 kg pack supports small bakeries and retailers struggling with working capital. Both pack sizes will help us reach new markets and deepen customer loyalty,” Yusuf said.
He added that the introduction would also drive volume growth, attract users from unbranded sugar segments, and ensure greater brand visibility in both modern and traditional retail channels.
Dangote’s presence at the Lagos International Trade Fair has traditionally been one of the fair’s highlights. The 2025 edition will be no different, as the conglomerate plans to make its pavilion a hub of interaction, learning, and rewarding experiences.
Visitors will not only be able to buy Dangote products at special prices but will also experience the company’s famed hospitality.
The group’s stand is expected to host several engaging activities, including product sampling, brand education sessions, and student visits.
On designated days, students visiting the pavilion will receive branded gifts such as pens, pencils, erasers, and notebooks, as part of Dangote’s ongoing efforts to promote education and brand engagement among young Nigerians.
Chiejina further noted that the timing of the trade fair is ideal for distributors and consumers alike, providing a chance to stock up ahead of the festive season.
“The trade fair is coming at an appropriate time, allowing distributors and retailers to prepare for the fast-approaching Christmas season, while end users can buy and store for their holiday needs,” he said.
