If there is any prophet known for revealing God’s mind towards media houses and journalists, it is Primate Elijah Ayodele, the leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church.
Through his prophecies, Primate Ayodele has consistently warned media professionals about issues they should pray against, while also offering his own prayers for their safety.
His messages stem from a genuine love for journalism and recognition of the lack of appreciation journalists often face in Nigeria.
This is why he frequently celebrates the profession and its practitioners.
Every year, Primate Ayodele gives out no fewer than six cars to journalists and supports at least 25 others with six-figure empowerment packages, both publicly and privately.
In one of his prophecies captured on video, he warned against the death of a popular Nigerian newscaster.
He specifically mentioned TV journalists, urging them to seek God’s protection for themselves and their families.

Sadly, this prophetic warning appears to have come to pass with the tragic death of Arise TV news presenter, Somtochukwu Christelle Maduagwu.
In a statement released on Monday via its official X handle, Arise TV confirmed that the 29-year-old broadcaster, fondly called “Sommie,” tragically passed away during an armed robbery at her residence in Katampe, Abuja, an incident currently under police investigation.
The statement read: “It is with heavy hearts that the management and staff of ARISE News Channel announce the passing of our beloved colleague, News Anchor, Reporter, and Producer, Somtochukwu Christelle Maduagwu.
“Sommie tragically passed away in the early hours of Monday, September 29, 2025, following an armed robbery incident in her residence in the Katampe area of Abuja that is being investigated by the Nigeria Police.
“Sommie, 29, was not only a cherished member of the ARISE News family but also a vibrant voice that engaged and connected with our viewers.
“Beyond the airwaves, Sommie was a lawyer who was a professional, supportive colleague, and a friend to many.”
