Dangote Takes Center Stage at IATF 2025 as a Catalyst for African Growth

Prominent global and African leaders, including Prime Ministers, ministers, and state governors, have lauded the far-reaching socio-economic impact of Dangote Industries Limited's investments across the continent.

The commendations came during the ongoing 2025 Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF) in Algiers, where the Dangote Group's exhibition stand became a major attraction for dignitaries and investors.

Among the notable figures who visited the stand were Prime Minister Dickon Mitchell of Grenada, Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew of Saint Kitts and Nevis, Nigeria's Minister of Finance, Wale Edun, and Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr Jumoke Oduwole.

The Governor of Zamfara State, Dauda Lawal, also led a delegation to the stand, all expressing their admiration for the Dangote Group's role in boosting economic development across Africa.

The leaders were received by Engr. Mansur Ahmed, Special Adviser to Dangote Group President Aliko Dangote, and other key executives.

They were particularly impressed by the company's diverse operations, which span crucial sectors like cement, fertilisers, petrochemicals, and refined petroleum products.

A focal point of the exhibition was the Dangote Petroleum Refinery, with a surge of inquiries centring on polypropylene (PP), a versatile thermoplastic polymer produced at the facility.

Polypropylene, valued for its strength, low weight, and resistance to heat and chemicals, is a critical component in a wide range of products, from food containers to automobile parts.

The high interest in this product stressed the refinery's potential to supply raw materials for various manufacturing industries across the continent.

As a Premier Partner of the fourth edition of IATF 2025, Dangote Group is showcasing its vast portfolio of over 18 subsidiaries.

The company’s presence underscores its commitment to advancing Africa's economic growth and industrial transformation.

According to Mr Anthony Chiejina, Group Chief Branding & Communications Officer for Dangote Industries Limited, the partnership with IATF is built on a “shared vision of commitment to advancing Africa’s economic growth.”

"Having experienced the tangible impact of IATF2023, we are proud to build on that momentum as a Premier Partner for IATF2025.

“This platform continues to drive meaningful connections and opportunities across the continent, and we look forward to contributing to its success once again in Algiers,”

Chiejina said.

Organised by Afreximbank in collaboration with the African Union Commission and the AfCFTA Secretariat, the biennial IATF aims to boost intra-African trade and investment.

This year’s event, which runs from September 4 to 10, features over 2,000 exhibitors and is projected to generate more than US$44 billion in trade and investment deals.

The Dangote Special Day is scheduled to take place on Saturday, further highlighting the company’s pivotal role in Africa's economic future.
