Insecurity: Nigerian Navy Heeds Primate Ayodele’s Prophecy, Builds Three Worship Towers

In a striking blend of faith and strategy, the Nigerian Navy has taken a spiritual turn in its fight against insecurity, commissioning three worship centres in response to prophetic counsel from Nigerian cleric, Primate Elijah Ayodele.

The commissioning ceremony took place on Thursday at Navy Town, Asokoro, Abuja, as part of the Nigerian Navy’s 69th anniversary celebrations.

The Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ogalla, acknowledged the increasing complexity of security threats and stressed the importance of divine intervention alongside conventional military tactics.

“We recognise that the challenges of insurgency, terrorism, and other forms of irregular threats that are facing us today are challenges that require a whole-of-society approach.

“While we look for military solutions, we also believe that the spiritual solution is part of what we need to surmount them,” Ogalla stated.

This development aligns with repeated calls by Primate Ayodele, who for years has urged the military to incorporate spiritual strategies into their operations.

Long before the commissioning, Ayodele had advised the Nigerian Armed Forces to build three “strong towers”, worship centres dedicated to God, to invoke divine help in quelling insecurity.

“Nigeria is blessed to have the best service chiefs, but they need to listen to divine instructions so that their efforts can be appreciated.

“Let them build three strong towers to honour God,” Primate Ayodele had said.

He also warned of an emerging terrorist group plotting to destabilise the country, emphasising the need for spiritual readiness.
