Torrential rain destroys 250 houses in Katsina village

No fewer than 250 houses were destroyed due to a heavy downpour at Natsinta village in Jibia Local Government Area of Katsina State.

Our correspondent gathered that although no life was lost during the heavy downpour, which lasted for three days, precisely between last Thursday, Friday, and Saturday without respite, several individuals were said to have sustained various degrees of injury.

The member representing Jibia Local Government Area at the Katsina State House of Assembly, Mustapha Yusuf, who visited the affected area gave the assurance that the Assembly is committed to working diligently to ensure immediate intervention of the state government, even as he urged all stakeholders, including government officials, political leaders, and entrepreneurs, to contribute generously to support the affected individuals during this challenging time.
