OUR UNRESERVED APOLOGY

MR EMMANUEL ENOIDEM, SAN

The News Accelerator Network wishes to tender its unreserved apology to, in particular, Mr Emmanuel Enoidem, SAN, and millions of our readers worldwide for a story titled, “LG Poll: Group Asks Governor Eno to Investigate Allegation of Forgery at Ward”.

The story was published and posted on the website of The News Accelerator Network on Wednesday, July 24, 2024.

In paragraph six of the said report, we have quoted the position of Maintain Peace For Etim Ekpo (MP4EE), which alleged in a statement endorsed and sent to us by Itoro Udobong, the group's Publicity Secretary, thus: “Allegations of forgery of the PDP Ward Exco signatures have emerged with intention of favouring the PA of Emmanuel Enoidem (SAN), the Etim Ekpo political leader, for the position of local government chairman.”

Although our efforts in getting Enoidem's side of the story were futile in that the telephone number we assumed to be his was wrong, we admit that we erred by going ahead to publish the story.

Let it be known that The News Accelerator Network has no intention whatsoever to disparage the hard-earned reputation of Mr Enoidem, SAN, or any other person for that matter.

We have since pulled down the story from the website, and with this apology, the report has been retracted.
