Economic Hardship: We’ll Crush Coup Advocates — CDS

The Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Musa, on Thursday, February 22, 2024, said the military would deal decisively with those advocating for a coup due to economic hardship, even as he emphasized patience and the superiority of democracy.

General Musa stated this while speaking with journalists at the Nigerian Army 6 Division Headquarters in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, after commissioning some building projects.

The military chief tasked individuals promoting military takeover to cease such statements.
