Alleged Terrorism: Gov Fubara’s Loyalists Refused Bail


Five persons accused of invading, vandalizing and burning down the Rivers State House of Assembly Complex were on Monday, February 5, 2024, refused bail.

They were denied bail by a Federal High Court, in Abuja.

The five persons said to be loyal to the incumbent governor of the state are Chime Eguma Ezebalike, Prince Lukman Oladele, Kenneth Goodluck Kpasa, Osiga Donald and Ochueja Thankgod.

The defendants are answering questions about a seven-count terrorism charge preferred against them by the Inspector General of Police (IGP).

According to the IGP, the defendants, in the wake of the political crisis that rocked the State in October 2023, invaded the House of Assembly complex in a bid to frustrate an attempt to impeach Governor Siminalayi Fubara.
