A 24-hour curfew has been declared in Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State due to the deteriorating security conditions in the area.
The action was taken by the state governor, Caleb Mutfwang through a statement issued by his spokesperson, Gyang Bere who explained that the move was to prevent a breakdown of law and order in the local government following discussions with security agencies.
The governor asked the residents to observe the sit-at-home directive, while only those who must travel inside the local government area for urgent needs are permitted to do so.
