Twenty-seven members of the Rivers State House of Assembly (RSHA), under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), on Monday, abandoned the party and decamped to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
The legislatures referred to the division within the PDP as the primary reason for their defection to the APC.
The concerned House of Assembly members are said to be the ones loyal to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike.
Their decision to move to the APC, came when they held plenary around 8 am.
