The latest update on the commission's official records reflects Professor Gombe as the party's National Chairman “by court order,” bringing INEC's records into compliance with the judicial directive.
Before the update, the electoral commission had listed the removed party chairman as the recognised leader of the SDP, a development that sparked internal controversy and leadership disputes within the party.
With the latest revision, the national leadership structure of the SDP, as displayed on the INEC portal, now includes:
