There is unrest in the political atmosphere of Benue State following an alleged tussle between the Governor, Alia Hyacinth and the SGF, George Akume.
Just yesterday, a federal lawmaker from the state publicly removed the portrait of the governor from his office after saying he is unfit to be a leader because he doesn’t respect democracy. In the same vein, the lawmaker pointed at Akume’s portrait in his office and described him as a worthy leader.
There are also growing reports that Governor Alia is planning to decamp from APC due to the issues he has with George Akume.

Although the issue is known, Governor Alia was quoted in a video that surfaced yesterday, expressing his displeasure at the SGF. The APC in the state two days ago publicly blasted the governor for some of his actions in the state.
These have disclosed that all isn’t well between the Governor and the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.
Meanwhile, it is noteworthy that the Nigerian prophet, Primate Elijah Ayodele was just saying some weeks back that he sees rancour between the governor of Benue State and the SGF who is also from Benue State.
The man of God made it known that their issue will be very pronounced next year, but it seems the prophecy is happening earlier than expected.
These were his words:
‘’I am seeing that the governor of Benue State and the SGF will be at loggerheads from August next year, and this issue will take them to the unexpected. Their relationship will be strained.’’
Going by all that is going on, would we be right to say Primate Ayodele’s prophecy on the relationship between the duo is coming to pass?
