Naira Marley Detained Over MohBad's Death

Controversial singer, Azeez Fashola, alias Naira Marley, was on Tuesday night taken into custody.

Naira Marley was taken into custody by the Lagos State Police Custody, in connection with the controversial death of his former record label signee, Ilerioluwa Aloba, alias MohBad.

The Public Relations Officer, PRO, of the Lagos State Police Command, Benjamin Hundeyin, said, “Azeez Fashola, aka Naira Marley, has been taken into custody for interrogation and other investigation activities”.

Earlier in a tweet on Tuesday night, Naira Marley made public his arrival in Lagos to assist in the ongoing probe into MohBad’s death, while noting that he would be meeting with the police.

According to Naira Marley, “I’d like to share that I’ve just arrived back in Lagos, Nigeria to assist the authorities with the ongoing investigation. It’s important I do my part for Imole.

"I’ll be meeting with the police with hopes for the truth to be uncovered and for justice to prevail”.

It would be recalled that MohBad died on September 12 at age 27.
