'Ademola Adeleke Is Osun State Governor' – Appeal Court

The judgment of the Osun State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal, which nullified the election of Governor Ademola Adeleke, was, today, upturned by the Abuja Division of the Court of Appeal.

In a unanimous judgment by a three-member panel of Justices, the appellate court declared that the appeal filed by Adeleke to challenge his sack by the Tribunal was meritorious.

Apart from setting aside the decision of the Tribunal, the Court of Appeal in its lead judgment delivered by Justice Mohammed Lawal, awarded N500,000 cost against the All Progressive Congress, APC, and its candidate, Gboyega Oyetola.
