Burkina Faso was on Friday suspended by the West African bloc ECOWAS following a coup carried out in the country.
According to a participant at a virtual summit, other sanctions, will not, for now, be imposed on the coup ridden Burkina Faso.
Meanwhile, a call has been extended by ECOWAS for the new junta to release ousted president Roch Marc Christian Kabore and other officials detained during Monday’s coup.
