Passenger's extortion: 'Airport officials suspended' — FAAN

For extorting a passenger at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, Nigeria, the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has effected the suspension of some of its officials.

According to the General Manager, GM, Corporate Affairs of FAAN, Henrietta Yakubu in a statement in Lagos on Saturday (today), the action was in line with management’s determination to rid the nation’s airport of corrupt officials.

The affected officials, according to Yakubu are staff of Aviation Security and Customer Service departments of the Authority.

The GM equally revealed that the On Duty Card of their accomplice from the Nigeria Immigration Service had been withdrawn.
