JEDDAH, Saudi Arabia — The Aliko Dangote Foundation (ADF) and the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) are exploring a potential partnership to expand investments in health, education, and community empowerment across member countries.
Ms Zouera Youssoufou, Managing Director & CEO of the Aliko Dangote Foundation, led a delegation to the IsDB Headquarters in Jeddah, where she met with Dr Rami Ahmad, Vice President (Operations) of the Islamic Development Bank.
She was accompanied by Mr Ahmed Iya, ADF’s Head of Community Engagement & Polio Eradication.
During the meeting, the ADF delegation showcased the Foundation’s impact across Africa and beyond, emphasising its work in driving social change through strategic investments.
Key focus areas include improving health and well-being, promoting access to quality education, and expanding empowerment opportunities for individuals and communities, regardless of their race or background.
Dr Rami Ahmad welcomed the engagement and expressed optimism about a productive partnership between both organisations.
He noted that many IsDB member countries continue to face pressing debt challenges that limit public investment in people, livelihoods, and social services — areas where joint interventions could deliver significant relief.
