Dangote Unveils Vision 2030: A $100 Billion Roadmap to Industrialise Africa

LAGOS, Nigeria — In a landmark announcement, Dangote Industries Limited (DIL) has unveiled its Vision 2030 strategy, a comprehensive roadmap designed to accelerate Africa’s industrialisation and establish the continent as a self-sufficient global economic powerhouse.

The President of the Group, Aliko Dangote, reaffirmed that the strategy is anchored on the “Africa First” philosophy, a commitment to ensuring the continent can feed itself, power its industries, and cultivate world-class talent.

The ambitious plan aims to transform DIL into a $100 billion enterprise by the end of the decade.

Central to this vision is a massive scale-up of the Group's flagship assets.

Mr Dangote revealed plans to more than double the capacity of the Dangote Petroleum Refinery, moving from its current 650,000 barrels per day to 1.4 million barrels per day.

In the agricultural sector, the Group is targeting a production leap in its fertiliser plant to 12 million metric tonnes every year.

This expansion is designed to secure regional food systems and position Nigeria as a leading global exporter of urea.

The Group's cement arm is also set for a historic surge. Dangote Cement is targeting a production capacity of 90 million tonnes by 2030.

“Our cement business is on track to produce 50 per cent more than the entire cement output of Saudi Arabia. We are building the structures that will enable Africa to equip its people for long-term prosperity,” Dangote noted.

Recognising that industrial growth requires a skilled workforce, Dangote highlighted the ₦1 trillion ($600 million) education fund launched in December 2025

This fund focuses on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) and vocational training, aiming to support over 1.3 million students across Nigeria.

By integrating cross-border investments with a focus on strategic sectors like manufacturing and infrastructure, Vision 2030 seeks to end Africa’s dependence on imports and drive sustainable, home-grown economic expansion.
