Dangote Cement Plc, Ibese Plant, has reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to sustainable development and inclusive growth in its host communities, with renewed focus on education, healthcare, infrastructure, and economic empowerment.
The pledge was made during the 2025 Host Community Day celebration held at Ibese, Ogun State, an annual event that brings together traditional rulers, government officials, community leaders, and other stakeholders.
Themed “Sustaining Growth, Strengthening Bonds,” the celebration highlighted the atmosphere of conviviality and partnership that characterised the company’s operations throughout the outgoing year.
Speaking at the event, the Plant Director of Dangote Cement Ibese, Mr Ayyagari Subbaraidu, described the Community Day as a vital platform for strengthening relationships with host communities and key partners.
Represented by the Chief General Manager in charge of Maintenance, Mr Hemant Dave, Subbaraidu said the celebration went beyond cement production to reflect shared values of care, inclusion, and collaboration.
“This celebration is not just about our achievements in cement production, but about reflecting on our journey of care, inclusion, and partnership with our host communities,” he said, noting that the impressive turnout and vibrant cultural displays underscored the strong bond between the company and its stakeholders.
The Plant Director expressed deep appreciation to the Ogun State Government for its continued support, acknowledging the presence of dignitaries including the Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, the Commissioner for Community Development and Cooperatives, executive chairmen of host local governments, and other top government officials.
