Warri Kingdom Celebrates Four Years of Olu's Reign

The Warri Kingdom is celebrated as it marks the fourth coronation anniversary of His Majesty Ògíamè Atuwatse III, the Olu of Warri.

The week-long festivities began with a powerful thanksgiving service at the Palace Church in Aghofen, drawing members of the Iwere Nation together in prayer and praise.

The opening ceremony was a heartfelt show of unity, with attendees celebrating four years of the monarch's leadership and praying for continued peace, wisdom, and prosperity for the kingdom.

The event highlighted the deep reverence the Itsekiri people have for their traditional institution and their commitment to their cultural heritage.

The week promises various activities, from educational lectures and traditional homage ceremonies to vibrant cultural exhibitions.

Tomorrow's agenda is packed, featuring the commissioning of a new hospital and a special Itsekiri Language event.

Adding to the excitement will be novelty football matches for both men and women, with some of Nigeria’s most prominent football legends expected to lace up their boots.

This anniversary is not just a commemoration but a testament to the Warri Kingdom's shared identity and bright future under the Olu's guidance.

The celebrations reflect a community united in honouring its leader and preserving its traditions.
