Lagos Judiciary Announces Programme for 2025/2026 Legal Year

The Lagos State Judiciary, under the leadership of the Chief Judge, Justice Kareem Olanrewaju Alogba, has announced a series of events to mark the start of its 2025/2026 Legal Year. 


The celebrations will begin with simultaneous Thanksgiving Services on Monday, September 22, 2025, at 10:00 a.m.


The services will be held at the Central Mosque on Nnamdi Azikiwe Street and the Cathedral Church of Christ in Marina. 


These services are intended to usher in the new year with prayers and seek divine guidance for the judiciary as it carries out its duties.


A key part of the celebration is the 2025/2026 Legal Year Summit, scheduled for Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at 10:00 a.m.

 





The summit will take place at The Shell Zenith Bank Hall, MUSON Centre, Onikan. 


The event will bring together judges, lawyers, and other stakeholders to discuss emerging issues in the justice system.


According to the judiciary, the annual event highlights its dedication to strengthening the rule of law and ensuring access to justice for all. 


The Lagos State Judiciary aims to maintain its reputation as a leader in judicial excellence within Nigeria. 


Members of the public, legal professionals, and invited guests are all encouraged to attend.
