In a dazzling celebration of loyalty and partnership, Dangote Cement Plc has rewarded its top-performing distributors and customers with gift items and cash incentives worth over ₦11 billion.
The grand event, the 2025 edition of its annual Customers Awards & Gala Nite, was held in Lagos and themed “Let’s Acceler8”, a rallying call for collective growth and industry dominance.
The evening was marked by glitz, gratitude, and generosity as several compressed natural gas (CNG) trucks, container loads of cement products, and substantial cash rewards were handed to high-performing partners across various regions.
The Chairman of Dangote Cement and President of Dangote Industries Limited, Aliko Dangote, expressed profound appreciation for the distributors’ steadfast dedication.
He applauded their resilience in sustaining product availability and driving sales despite prevailing economic headwinds.
“Thanks to your efforts, we have secured over 57% of the market share. We encourage you to continue pushing for more growth.
“This year's theme reflects the strength of our partnership with valued customers, which continues to drive the success of Dangote Cement,” Dangote told the audience.
Dangote also reaffirmed the company’s commitment to maintaining product quality through continuous investment in research and improvements to its production processes.
“In appreciation of your hard work, unflinching loyalty, and commitment in 2024, we are rewarding you with cash and gift items valued at over ₦11 billion.
“We are also celebrating our valued corporate customers, who have consistently chosen our cement for various construction projects,” he said.
Group Managing Director of Dangote Cement Plc, Arvind Pathak, emphasised the vital role customers play in the company's expansive value chain, from quarry to end-user.
“Tonight, we celebrate your pivotal role in ensuring the widespread availability of our products across every region of Nigeria.
“Your remarkable efforts in sales, distribution, and customer reach have been crucial to our success in 2024,” Pathak stated.
He disclosed that over 5,000 containers had been distributed to retailers, allowing customers access to fresher cement products directly from the factory.
“This initiative not only enhances our business value but ensures an extended shelf life for our consumers,” he added.
Pathak also highlighted the company’s strategic transition to clean energy, revealing that 3,100 of its trucks currently operate on CNG.
“We are committed to transitioning our fleet of over 7,000 trucks from diesel to CNG by the end of 2026, in line with Nigeria’s clean fuel policy,” he said.
He further announced additional investments in CNG infrastructure and new trucks, aligning with Dangote Cement’s broader sustainability objectives.
“Some of our most outstanding customers are being rewarded with these CNG trucks to help grow their businesses while supporting our climate goals,” he said.
Group Executive Director of Commercial Operations at Dangote Industries, Fatima Aliko Dangote, also addressed the gathering, praising the significant role distributors play in the company’s market dominance.
“Our distributors are instrumental in growing public awareness and expanding the market for our products.
“Their outstanding performance in 2024 has had a direct impact on our sales growth and market reach,” she said.
She described the distributors as the backbone of the company’s achievements and urged them to raise the bar even higher in 2025.
The event featured several award categories, including the Regional Award, Growth Award, and Best Performing Customers.
