ECOWAS Deploys Standby Force to Combat Terrorism


The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) has activated its Standby Force to tackle terrorism and transborder crimes in the region. 

Nigeria’s Minister of Defence, Mohammed Badaru, announced this during the 43rd ECOWAS Defence Chiefs' meeting in Abuja on Tuesday. 

This move reinforces regional efforts to enhance security and stability amid growing threats.
