WAEC Launches Early WASSCE Resit Initiative for 2025

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has introduced a groundbreaking initiative allowing students to resit their West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) as early as January and February 2025.

This new programme, dubbed WASSCE PC1, marks a significant departure from the traditional system where candidates had to wait months for the next private exam session.

John Kapi, WAEC's Head of Public Affairs, announced the development, describing it as a move to help students improve their grades more efficiently.

“Students who access their WAEC results now and realize they need to resit one or two papers have until 8th January to register online through our website or at WAEC-accredited internet cafés,” Kapi explained.

The exams will run from 24th January to 15th February 2025.
