Students Set Provost’s Residence on Fire in Kebbi Over Extortion Allegations

Students of the College of Health Sciences and Technology in Jega, Kebbi State, set fire to the residence of the Provost, Alhaji Haruna Saidu-Sauwa, amid allegations of extortion.

During the violent protest, the provost’s house was burned, and his vehicle was vandalized.

The unrest arose from accusations that the college management had extorted N23 million from students for the index registration of 250 graduating students.
