Sterling One Foundation, PwC, and Partners to Host ESG Series 4.0

As environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles continue to gain momentum globally, Nigerian businesses are increasingly embracing sustainable practices.

ESG has transitioned from a trend to a strategic imperative for companies seeking to manage risks, comply with regulations, and meet investor and stakeholder expectations.

In response to the growing importance of ESG, Sterling One Foundation, in partnership with PwC, NGX, UNIDO Investment and Technology Promotion Office (ITPO) Nigeria, LBS Sustainability Centre, Lagos Chamber of Commerce & Industry (LCCI), Nigeria Employers' Consultative Association (NECA), and Sterling Bank, will host ESG Series 4.0 on October 25, 2024.

The event aims to provide a platform for thought leaders to share insights on advancing sustainable development and driving impactful change.

This fourth instalment of the ESG Series in 2024 underscores a sustained commitment to enriching the ESG conversation in Nigeria and across Africa.

Previous editions have offered practical solutions and facilitated crucial discussions on embedding ESG into corporate strategies. ESG Series 4.0 will continue this momentum by offering two focused tracks designed to equip participants with tools and strategies for implementing robust ESG frameworks that foster growth and resilience.

The event will bring together ESG leaders, corporate executives, development experts, and sustainability advocates dedicated to advancing sustainable business practices.

The agenda will cover key topics such as ESG reporting, risk management, and aligning sustainability goals with organizational strategies. These discussions will be especially valuable for organizations looking to stay ahead of evolving ESG standards and adopt best practices that enhance resilience and long-term value.

Attendees will hear from notable leaders in the ESG and social impact sectors, including Olapeju Ibekwe, CEO of Sterling One Foundation, who will host the event. With a strong background in driving social change and promoting sustainability, Olapeju will provide insights into integrating impact-driven strategies into business operations.

Speaking on the significance of sustainability in today’s business environment, Olapeju Ibekwe, CEO of Sterling One Foundation, noted, “As businesses continue to embrace sustainability principles, we must shift from discussions to action-oriented strategies that deliver tangible change. ESG Series 4.0 aims to equip organizations with the knowledge and tools necessary to implement effective ESG strategies that drive growth and resilience.”
