A former Commissioner for Special Duties, Culture, and Tourism and a Chieftain of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, Dr Femi Adekanmbi has said the party will replicate its victory in Ondo State.
This statement comes ahead of the November 16, 2024 governorship election.
Adekanmbi declared that the chances of the APC are bolstered by the party's existing structure and support base in the state.
In his words: “In the last couple of weeks, the party has received defectors of opposition party members into its fold, which has further strengthened the APC.”
Speaking while congratulating the Governor-elect of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo and the APC leadership over the resounding victory recorded in the just-concluded gubernatorial election in the state, Adekanmbi, who described the victory as well-deserved to, stated that the people of Edo, just like Ondo State people, have decided to trust in the APC.
He noted that the people of Ondo will also reciprocate the same treatment meted out to the PDP-led administration in Edo by voting for the APC's governorship candidate, Lucky Aiyedatiwa.
“In Ondo State, I am confident that our party, All Progressives Congress, will replicate the Edo victory in the forthcoming Ondo governorship election in November,” Adekanmbi posited.
The APC Chieftain lauded Governor Aiyedatiwa for his exceptional leadership as Chairman of the Election Planning and Strategy Committee of the APC in the Edo election, which led to the successful election of Senator Okpebholo.
He extolled the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the fair play and the improvements observed in the discharge of their duties, noting that such will boost the confidence electorates reposed on the institution.
