Kunle Oluomo, Ogun Assembly Speaker, Impeached

KUNLE OLUOMO

The Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Kunle Oluomo, has been impeached.

Oluomo was removed on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 during plenary where 18 out of the 36 members of the State Assembly voted in favour of his sack.

He was laid off on charges of embezzlement, haughtiness, and other offences.

Meanwhile, Oludaisi Elemide has been elected as the new Speaker.
