More Trouble For Convicted Doyin Okupe, As Arabambi Demands Refund Of Campaign Committee Monies

CONVICTED DR. DOYIN OKUPE

The National Publicity Secretary of the Labour Party, Dr. Abayomi Arabambi, is reacting to the conviction of the former Director-General of Peter Obi Campaign Organisation, Doyin Okupe.

He is particularly not happy with the tone and content of the Doyin Okupe resignation letter from the Campaign Community. According to him, the letter is I'll conceive.

“The unending, empty, bitter, misdirected ill-will from a thoroughly demystified letter of resignation from the ousted former self-appointed DG Labour Party Presidential Campaign ex-convict, Dr. Doyin Okupe,” Arabambi said.

He considered the letter not only out of place, but insulting to the personality of Peter Obi.

“My attention as Labour Party spokesperson was drawn to a purported and insulting letter of resignation by ex-convict Dr. Doyin Okupe as Director-General of Labour Party Presidential Campaign Organisations even though not titled where the ex-convict out of executive rascality and boastfulness find it hard to address Mr. Peter Obi as His excellency which is very unfortunate and uncultured,” he added.

Dr. Arabambi stated further that Okupe must give an account of every transaction that passes through him on the account of his assignment.

“While Labour Party welcomes his decision to exit the party, he has the moral burden to present the financial statements of account of all monies received so far in the course of the Labour Party Campaign to over nine States visited so far which must include the two newly purchased 2020 model Range Rover sport jeep he bought,” he posited.

Arabambi said Okupe's conviction has vindicated him on his stand from the beginning.

According to him, “The conviction and sentence imposed on him is a vindication of my earlier conclusion of his financial notoriety and diversion about the stealing and misappropriation of the sum of N50m meant for all Labour polling agents in support of former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan in 2015 since LP did not present a presidential candidate.”

While adding that Okupe has added another insensitive and anti-culture chapter into resignation letter–writing, Arabambi added that “It is an accepted-written code and law for all ex-convict to know the implications of being an ex-convict as they are prevented from holding certain positions in trust again over a certain period, thus his claims of stepping aside is a wholesome insult to all of us in Labour Party but of course, as a man irredeemably given to absurdity in his manners at almost all times, it doesn’t come as surprising or unexpected of him.

“Fortunately, he has tons of ills on record of very ugly wrongs acts that are far more unbefitting, uncomplimentary and unflattering to his clearly double-crossing and very treacherous image.

“The insinuations he tried to incorporate into the resignation letter to polish his already dented and battered image were that he is above the National Chairman, NWC, NEC, and presidential candidate by his inordinate claims of stepping aside to stage a come-back which is a dead ambition.

“If at a variously doctored and deliberate falsehood about his high financial status which he gloats over despite his conviction is an indictment on his unenviable personality.

“Dr. Doyin Okuoe as an ex-convict has by this one resignation letter written a very black testimonial for himself once again in addition to the catalogue of very rotten, totally corrosive and which are by far extremely bad and ugly.”

Dr. Arabambi posited that because of Doyin Okupe's hatred for him, he facilitated his quick political irrelevance and final retirement from the political scene.

According to him, he, alongside the State executives of Ogun LP under the leadership of Comrade Michael Ashade and Dr. Arabambi Abayomi (National Publicity Secretary) wishes him well in his future endeavours.

Dr. Arabambi equally recalled that despite Okupe's boasting that he will end his career in the Labour Party when he demanded the refund of monies missing from Ogun LP, the rest is history after his conviction as an ex-convict until it is set aside by a superior court.
