The convicted Doyin Okupe has resigned as the Director-General of the Labour Party (LP) Presidential Campaign Council.

Okupe's resignation is contained in a letter addressed to Peter Obi, LP presidential candidate, and dated December 20, 2022.

This development is coming hours after he was convicted and sentenced to prison over money laundering charges.
