T.B Joshua's remembrance: 'God's work can never die' — Governor Akeredolu

By Francis IWUCHUKWU

The governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu on Sunday declared that the work of God will not in any manner die.

Governor Akeredolu stated this during the 1st year celebration of the late founder of the Synagogue Church of All Nations, SCOAN, Prophet Temitope Balogun Joshua at the Church’s auditorium in Ikotun, Lagos State, Nigeria.

The governor who was represented by his deputy charged the church to emulate the lifestyle of the late cleric with an addition that the Ondo State government would be willing to render any form of assistance to the Church and the family of the late clergyman.

The governor equally charged Prophet T.B Joshua’s widow, Pastor Evelyn Joshua to keep up the good works of her late husband that started many years back.

On his part, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State, while also speaking during the event said Prophet T.B Joshua impacted lives positively.

Sanwo-Olu, who was represented by the Special Adviser on Religious Matters, Reverend Bukola Adeleke insisted that the essence of life is not measured by the material things acquired, but by the many lives impacted.

Earlier in her statement, the Leader of SCOAN and widow to the late cleric, Pastor Evelyn Joshua reiterated her commitment to building a strong Godly foundation for the youths through education as well as mobilize women and groups in the ministry towards a special relationship with Christ.

According to the SCOAN Leader, “I leant from my husband that life is not a bed of roses and I learnt patience and absolute trust in God. I learnt tolerance, perseverance, understanding, and forgiveness.

“The TB Joshua that I know, married and the father of my three daughters was a man of prayer and that was what led me to him. I didn’t choose my husband, he chose me, but I loved him until death do us path.

“There was no SCOAN then, and we were satisfied but when we started the church, and we were sitting on the mat, I became the first Sunday School teacher in the church and here we are today. I have experienced love and I have learnt to bless God in every situation.”
