The Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) has retained Augustine Eguavoen as the Super Eagles coach following his outing with the team at the African Cup of All Nations (AFCON).
Before he led the team to Cameroon for the competition, NFF had employed Jose Pesiero to be the Head Coach for the Super Eagles team but was ultimately dismissed after Eagle’s return from Cameroon.
This no doubt is a good development for Augustine Eguavoen whose victory in AFCON was cut short untimely by Tunisia at the knock-out stage of the competition.
With Eguavoen being retained, it seems the NFF has listening ears for spiritual direction in their affairs and operations.
Immediately after the Super Eagles’ exit from AFCON, Primate Ayodele released a prophecy concerning the fate of the Nigerian team at the world cup qualifiers against Ghana which will be played in March.
The man of God started by warning NFF not to take the Super Eagles job from Augustine Eguavoen even though someone else had been employed.
The popular man of God noted that Eguavoen will be a major factor in ensuring the victory of the Super Eagles in the match while giving other spiritual directions concerning the match.
These were his words:
‘‘On the World Cup qualifier Nigeria/Ghana, Nigeria has only 68 minutes to score in Ghana and let them (NFF) still use Eguavoen to do that.
“I think the match is coming up soon after the Nations Cup, maybe around March or thereabout. God has given them the mandate, but if only they listen.
“Firstly, they must not take the Super Eagles job from Eguavoen. Secondly, it is not all these star players that are needed for the games.
“What is his name? Musa (Ahmed) must not be part of the team. If Musa plays, Nigeria will lose. I’m not against Musa, but he must not play against Ghana.”
Taking a look at the prophetic statement made by the man of God, it’s obvious the NFF has involved God in its affairs by listening to the spiritual directions of Primate Elijah Ayodele.
Primate Ayodele was a major prophetic voice in the outing of the super eagles at the AFCON. He had prophesied that the team will not go far in the competition since 2021.
