The Imo State Police Command Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Michael Abattam, a Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP), said Uche Nwosu, former governor Rochas Okorocha’s son-in-law was in the custody of the police and not abducted’ as earlier reported in the media.
It would be recalled that reports had gone viral that Nwosu had been abducted by unknown gunmen.
According to the PPRO, “Nwosu was arrested by the police, not kidnapped as insinuated in the social media.”
Abattam specifically revealed that Nwosu’s arrest is in connection with “a case that is under investigation.”
