Alleged theft: Female law student suspended by UNICAL

A female student of the Faculty of Law, University of Calabar, UNICAL, has been suspended over alleged theft.

The student was suspended by the Vice-Chancellor, VC, Prof. Florence Obi.

The suspension was conveyed in a letter signed on Tuesday in Calabar by the University’s Registrar, Gabriel Egbe, and addressed to the student.

According to the letter, the suspension came on the heels of a report received by the Vice-Chancellor on Nov. 23, that the student allegedly sneaked into Room 102 of the female hostel and took away an iPhone XS.
