ABEOKUTA — Dangote Industries Limited (DIL) has taken center stage as the lead sponsor of the 15th Gateway International Trade Fair, using the platform to champion its aggressive “Vision 2030” strategy.
The Pan-African conglomerate is leading a diverse array of local and international exhibitors under the theme: ‘Promoting Business through Partnership.’
In a statement marking the opening of the fair, Mr Anthony Chiejina, Group Chief Branding and Communications Officer, revealed that the Group is firmly on track to become a $100 billion revenue business by 2030.
This ambition is anchored on industrial expansion, cross-border investments, and a mission to decouple Africa’s economy from import dependence.
“Our ambition goes beyond building factories,” Chiejina noted, echoing the vision of Aliko Dangote.
“It is about building Africa’s capacity to feed itself, power its economy, and drive sustainable industrialisation,” he added.
Visitors to the fair were briefed on the staggering scale of the Group’s upcoming projects designed to hit their 2030 milestones.
Mr Chiejina also used the platform to commend the Federal Government’s current economic reforms, noting that while the policies are bold, they are necessary for long-term poverty alleviation and sustainable development.
In response, the President of OGUNCCIMA, Lion Niyi Oshiyemi, praised the Dangote Group for its unwavering support of the Gateway Trade Fair.
He described the conglomerate as the backbone of the event and a socially responsible organisation that continues to drive innovation and economic stability within Ogun State and Nigeria at large.
