GAZA CITY – At least 10 Palestinians were killed in a series of fresh Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip over the last 24 hours, according to the local Health Ministry.
The latest casualties bring the total death toll from Israel’s ongoing offensive to a staggering 72,061 fatalities since October 2023.
While international mediators have attempted to maintain stability through a U.S.-brokered ceasefire, Gaza’s Government Media Office reports that the truce is effectively failing on the ground.
According to official figures, Israeli forces have committed 1,620 violations of the agreement since its inception.
The conflict continues to bleed across borders. Early this morning, the Israeli military confirmed several airstrikes in southern Lebanon.
Israeli officials stated the targets were warehouses utilised by Hezbollah, signalling a persistent and volatile second front in the regional crisis.
The scale of the devastation in Gaza remains unprecedented. In addition to the tens of thousands killed, the Health Ministry reports that 171,715 people have been wounded in the enclave.
The current escalation follows the October 7, 2023, attacks in which an estimated 1,139 people were killed in Israel and approximately 250 individuals were taken captive.
Since then, the humanitarian situation in Gaza has deteriorated to what international observers describe as a catastrophic level.
