SDNON Summit 2025 Set to Tackle Cyber Law and Tax Shifts

Preparations have reached their final stage for the Society of Digital Newspaper Owners of Nigeria (SDNON) Summit 2025, which promises to be a critical gathering addressing the evolving regulatory landscape affecting the media and the Nigerian economy.

Scheduled for November 13, 2025, the summit will be held at the LCCI Business District, Alausa, Lagos, commencing at 10:00 a.m.

The highly anticipated event is themed: ‘Policy Shifts in Cyber Law and Taxation: What They Mean for the Media and Nigeria’s Economy.’

According to Mr Wale Onifade, Chairman of the Organising Committee, the summit will feature a lineup of seasoned experts in finance, cybercrime, taxation, and public relations.

These specialists will provide in-depth analysis and practical perspectives on how the shifting policy environment impacts the media landscape and the nation's economic outlook.

Dr Adeniyi Ifetayo, President of SDNON, described the association as a collective of forward-thinking media professionals dedicated to shaping the future of journalism in Nigeria.

“Together, we promote credibility, innovation, and collaboration in Nigeria’s digital media landscape,” Dr Ifetayo stated.

He further noted that SDNON’s mission is to empower and unify digital newspaper owners by fostering ethical journalism, promoting innovation, and advocating for the rights and sustainability of digital media practitioners.

The association’s vision is clear: “to be the leading voice and authority for digital news media in Nigeria, driving credibility, professionalism, and progressive impact in the digital journalism space,” he added.

The 2025 Summit is expected to equip participants with the knowledge necessary to navigate these complex legal and fiscal policy changes, ensuring the continued viability and professionalism of digital journalism in Nigeria.
