In a display of community care, the Charity Ayo Foundation recently brought free healthcare services to hundreds of residents in the Bariga area of Lagos.
The BeinHealth Initiative outreach, held at the Redeemed Christian Church of God in Ladi Lak, provided vital medical consultations, screenings, and free medications to those in need.
The event, which showcased the foundation's mission to improve healthcare access for underserved communities, was a holistic experience focused on wellness and disease prevention.
Attendees received services ranging from blood pressure and blood sugar tests to BMI assessments and urinalysis.
Charity Ayooluwa Olaifa, the foundation's founder, emphasised the importance of prioritising health for a prosperous society.
“Every life matters, and no one should be denied quality healthcare because of their circumstances,” she stated, highlighting the organisation's independent and non-discriminatory approach.
The day's activities went beyond basic medical services. It began with an energetic aerobics session that brought the community together, followed by educational talks where healthcare professionals provided valuable advice on preventing common ailments.
One elderly woman expressed her gratitude, noting how the doctor explained her high blood pressure diagnosis and provided immediate medication.
"This is a blessing I won’t forget,” she shared.
Pastor Omotoso of the RCCG church commended the foundation's dedication, stating that their humanitarian work represents a form of love that genuinely transforms lives.
He concluded with a prayer for the foundation's continued growth, acknowledging the impact of their selfless service on the community.
The Charity Ayo Foundation's outreach serves as a reminder of how compassionate action can bridge healthcare gaps and empower individuals to take charge of their well-being, fostering a healthier and more prosperous community for all.
