When prophets speak concerning an individual, it is always wise for the person involved to listen with an open mind, reflect on the reason behind such words, seek clarification if needed, and even consult the prophet personally. Prophets do not speak without divine insight.
Unfortunately, many people respond poorly, resorting to counterattacks, as though prophets are mere troublemakers. Whenever a prophecy does not favour them, they quickly deploy media agents to discredit the prophet, sometimes even fabricating lies.
They become antagonists to a prophet who merely delivered a word of knowledge. Ironically, the very thing they criticised the prophet for often comes to pass, making them appear as bad losers.
This is precisely the case with the APC National Chairman, Umar Ganduje, who recently submitted his resignation letter in what appeared to be a sudden and unexpected development.
Although he cited health concerns, many political observers have dismissed this explanation, pointing instead to a growing political crisis as the true cause.
Typically, for a national chairman to step down, a national convention would be required to appoint a replacement.
However, Ganduje’s resignation came without any such process or successor announced, clearly indicating that the decision was not made under amicable circumstances.
It is worth noting that Ganduje had been forewarned by the respected prophet, Primate Elijah Ayodele, in May 2024.
Alongside other party leaders, Primate Ayodele prophesied that Ganduje’s time in office was nearing its end and that a major conspiracy was looming against him.
Here are the prophet’s exact words: “Ganduje will not be appreciated; there will be problems between him and other party members.
“He should watch his back, they want to stab him. Somebody is about to take his place.
“Let them be careful so that there won’t be any crisis or unexpected gunshot inside the secretariat.
“The time of Ganduje and his executives is up; someone is coming to take over.”
This prophecy was not an attack but a warning, urging Ganduje to be cautious and vigilant.
Yet, as is often the case, his media aides dismissed the message, labelling Primate Ayodele a fake prophet and confidently asserting that Ganduje would complete his tenure without any gang-up or forced removal.
One year later, who is vindicated, Primate Ayodele or Ganduje and his media aides? The answer is obvious.
Now, Ganduje and his aides are out of office, while Primate Ayodele continues to grow in prominence as a true prophet of the Most High.
Had Ganduje heeded the warning, many of the political storms he faced might have been avoided.
Let this serve as a lesson to those who have been warned by Primate Ayodele.
When prophets speak, it is not for their benefit, but for the good of those being addressed.
Peace be unto you.
